Good dog training blogs?
Im looking for a few dog training blogs, Im not looking for some pro dog trainer, just a normal pet owner writing about their experiences training their dog s .ten points go to whoever finds one where the blogger uses Cesar Millan's guidelines his new book Cesars rules I am trying to compare different training methods by people who actually use them, not by people who watch and then form their opinion.I already found two blogs that use clicker training, I want to compare them with others who use different training methods
I need help with dog training?
We have had him since he was 8 weeks. He is 1 year now. We are trying to pad train him. He is a chihuahua. When ever he is in the bathroom with the pads he goes on them, when ever he is in the hall and the bathroom with the pads is open, he goes on them. But whenever he is open to the whole house he goes EVERYWHERE we have punished him by closing him in his crate, we have said NO, we have done so much and nothing is working. Are there any suggestions?we only crate punished him once.and we can't take him outside, thats why we wanted to pad train him. I need suggestions about PAD TRAININGHe knows he has done something wrong, as soon as you raise your voice he runs into the bathroom. He knows he went in the wrong spot because when you bring him to the spot where he went he is scared. We don't punish by hitting or sticking his face in the pee or poo. We just close him in the bathroom whenever he pees or poos.I tried taking him outside. I would walk him for 20 min then take him inside. I would in about 2 min find him pooping on the floor.
What is the best dog harness or collar for dog training?
I am beginning to train my terrier no easy feat and looking at getting a really good harness or collar that is good to help stop pulling and for training.I have heard that the Easy Walk and Sense ation harness are good, although I can't seem to find a UK store that sells the Sense ation.Also the Ezy dog harness is supposed to be good.Are there ant dog trainers or pet owners with any ideas on which is best. I currently just have a collar.Thanks.

How much should I charge for dog training?
I am a 14 year old girl and I am going to charge money to teach dogs how to walk on a leash properly. I researched everything on how to do it, so now I know how to do it. It's called loose leash walking, and basically every time they tug you simply stop, wait until they come back, praise them, and move on. I was wondering what I should charge for my services. It'll be 1 on 1, me with their dog, at their home or a well spaced area.What should I charge? How long should the session last?

I need help with my dog training technique?
My family and I have adopted a dog. Bourbon is a 14 month old springer spaniel bitch. Shes had one previous owner and is house broken. She understands the sit command but right now assumingly she is super hyper....because of the change and is not following the command consistently.....any how....im determined to train my dog....i am not able to pay to have her trained professionally right now...so ive,been researching trainning techniques... I would like to know how long I should train per day....and should I be trainning her one command per day? and also ive been trying to train with dog food but shes not interested went out and bought special snacks hoping these migjt encourage to obey for this reward....any tips on what snack is used for trainning....? Thanks...Fyi this is my first dog so be eady on me...

Dog training question: If I call my dog to 'come' and she doesn't come right away but then comes a few minutes?
later we're on an off leash walk and she's with me most of the time but she went to check out another dog . Should I a praise her for disengaging with the other dog and coming at allb scold her mildly for not coming when I wanter her toc do nothing and praise or scold other behavior that is more clearly right or wrong for the record she's a one year old husky mastiff cross You may find this hard to believe because I do , but when we're 'out on patrol' i.e. walking she won't take any dog cookies from me. If I give her one, she will, unbelievably, either drop it or bury it. When we're at home doing little training exercises she gobbles them up as a reward like any normal dog. I don't overfeed her and I don't feed her human food.Yes, I know I should be jumping for joy becaue she is, for a husky, very well behaved. this isn't my first husky and we work at it a lot two walks a day minimum I give her some leash time but also lots of off leash time so that she can run I live in a rural area and I make her come and sit beside me whenever a car comes and she does , about 95 % of the time we ski together too she's whining at me to come in as I write this, she must know I'm talking about her...
