Dog Boarding

Question: How much will it cost to start my own dog boarding kennel?

I would like to start a dog boarding kennel. people have told me its going to cost allot of money. well could anybody give me a realistic estimate on how much it will cost to hire someone to build the area where the dogs will stay, cages, insurance, and stuff like that. thanks

Could not even begin to tell you..but just the license to run the kennel is thousands of dollars in itself.

I wanted to invest doing that but i wanted to do a doggy day care centre as well as kennels the only problem i had was where i am living most people don't visit so i found it hard unless i was willing to move away which i wouldn't of mined doing but it was the same for me the money and that i think it would cost loads. I would do some research on how much its going to cost

My neighbor just opened a boarding kennel. They used and existing building and had it renovated and then put in runs and stuff. They had to have a separate septic system and with all that is was about $20,000.00 If they had to build a building it would have been more around $40,000 or higher.
