I am searching for dog breeders in Alabama that have Maltese puppies at reasonable prices for sale?
and preferably started on house training. Also if there are any other suggestions on a low maintenance puppy that will make a great house dog I am open. As well as for the dog to be small and not grow big. Toy size if possible. thx in advance and also I'm in the South central part of AlabamaThe question of money is not important it was said because on all the websites I've looked into they all had different prices. So, I just wanted to know what was the most reasonable price to pay foe one. As for low maintenance that's off of websites I have looked at compared to other dogs. I'm not looking for answers from overly exaggerated animal lovers that love their pets more than humans. Just looking for suggestions on breeds. Thx
In a dog breeders opinion what is the min. age a puppy should be exposed to buyers & what precautions r taken?
At what age is a puppy less susceptible to diseases which can be contracted during socialization? I plan to have buyers wash their hands and use hand sanitizer when interacting with any of my husky puppies but what other precautions can I take?

Why do people use dog breeders?
I've always wondered why people shell out the extra bucks for " purebred" dogs. There are so many puppies and dogs in shelters that desperately need homes, and if you adopt them young enough, they don't even have that anxiety I'm thinking specifically of puppies . So even though there's an over population problem with dogs, and millions are euthanized each year, why do people still insist of having a dog bred for them instead of adopting a needy dog?To Ladystang, and any others Do looks really matter all that much when there are dogs being euthanized every day? It just seems a little shallow and uncaring is all. I just can't understand why ethically someone would go to a breeder in order to get a certain " look" when there are so many dogs that need homes already.

ive had dogs my whole life and im intrested in getting a harrier. i want a foxhound but they are too big and very hard to find while a beagle is...small. does anyone know any harrier breeders in thailand? or any good dog breeders? in the past i got dogs from specific dog breeders so they would be in top shape or get mongrels which i love because they are protective. so you can give me the number or website. thanks

i have 6, 5 week old pups and 1 is really quite ill, basically to cut it short, i cant afford to keep it and i cant afford any operations, which im pretty sure its gonna need, do i have it put down now, or wait and hope for the best?.No sarcasim please just advice if you have any.Thank youk, she is a dalmatian husky alsatian, in comparison she is 2.2 kgs and her siblings are all over 3kgs, she is deaf unfortunatley and also sick after every meal, yet she is lively and running around like the others

Why don't dog breeders attempt to make new breeds?
Ok so dog " breeds" are basically arbitrary in that as humans we have been breeding and inbreeding wolf decedents for thousands of years to meet our specific needs. ie I want to hunt birds but I can't find them after they fall out of the sky so I need a dog that will do it for me with out harming the dead fowl or eating it... voila I breed retrievers. right? So with so many people living urban life styles working a lot, being lazy, living in an apartment or with no backyard, not wanting a pet with high maintenance why aren't people breeding dogs for the modern world? I understand breeding for certain characteristics and health in dogs in general but why do modern dog breeders not attempt to breed new breeds? Admittedly I am a mutt person I love me some hybrid vigor But I see people buying expensive " pure breeds" based on looks then not being able to deal with the personality because it doesn't fit with their life style then the dog winds up being neurotic or neglected or dumped. Couldn't some breeder somewhere make a bundle by creating a new breed the uber apartment dog? Make it come in like 3 sizes with out resorting to running a puppy mill maybe work with some other breeders make something new that fits with today's average human instead of insisting the average human try to fit an existing breed into their lives. I am not saying there should be a neglect proof dog. Yes education is a good thing I will never say it isn't but couldn't someone also breed a new kind of dog?BTW while I am a huge fan of the whole concept of cross breeding .. I hate that so called " designer dog breeds" have such stupid names why don't we name them as new breeds decide on a " standard" if you must preferably with health high on the list and give them a name that comes from whoever decided to do it first?Ok so breeders defend their livelihoods i get that... Is there no one out there doing the old aristocrat thing and creating new breeds for the fun of it? Oh and I mean NEW not laberdoodles. Laberdoodles aren't new it's called " the neighbor's dog jumped the fence." A lot of the " AKC" recognized breeds came from rich folks estates and " pet" har har projects. All existing breed of dog came from a common " dog" we've just had them domesticated so long we have bred them to fit our niches. This is what I am getting at other than the sad street mutts where's the urban dog breed? Not the breed that was bred for something that just happens to mostly kind of fit the urban dog owner's needs but a truly urban dog breed. also... when did breeders forget that their favorite breed was CREATED through cross breeding of mongrels?PS what's with the random PeTA rant from jesus lady?

we knew a lady who bred bull terriers, she was a great breeder and people were buying her pups like crazy but heres the weird thing, she didnt breed her dogs the natural way?i guess she got the sperm from the male dog and injected it into the female...now how does this work? don't you have to wait till the female is in heat, and how did she get the sperm from the male dog? is this even possible?okay, so, do they make dog dummies for the male to hump and release sperm into a pouch thing? or do you have to do it yourself, handle the dogs penis and get him to ejaculate? x
Professional Dog Breeders: tell me about the Health Guarantees?
now, i have noticed differences on health guarantees with dog breeders...puppies for sale, i have seen a 72 hour health guarantee, a 1 year health guarantee, and a life time health guarantee.....can someone tell me about this?if the health guarantees on your pups that you're selling is short like the 72 hour does that make you look like a bad breeder? and how about the " lifetime health guarantee" ...what if someone buys the perfectly healthy pup, then lets say the pup somehow gets around something that has a disease or serious illness...if the pup gets sick or gets cancer or any health problems, will you get sued?tell me how this works. thanks
