Dog Training School

Question: Help i need i dog training school?

I ve done some research on dogs schools for my dogs and i find one in melbourne that i like its a sort of boarding school were your dogs go and stay for a 10 day course to learn basic training. the problem is a live in qld so if any knows of any thing like this in the brisbane, sunshine coast or widebay area please let me know.

Something I have to tell you, which you should really take on board is... Dog training is NOT just about training the dog... the main part of training is training the OWNER and teaching the owner how to correctly command a behaviour. There is no point in sending your dogs off to be trained and have them sent back to you, with out you even knowing how to follow through with it. These "boarding schools " "dog boot camp " are not very popular because these methods don't work!

Train your dog yourself instead. Dog Obedient Schools or trainers are not recommended. You should learn to train and bond with your dog for a better relationship. Obedient schools will take away the bond between you too. I noticed you wrote in your last question but deleted it, that you are too busy to train your dogs how to do those commands or train them. Well, why don't you ask your dog for a day-off and use that day-off to train and bond with your dogs. Train your dogs how to do those commands you want them to. This is great for you and your dogs because you guys are bonding. Train your dog to not relieve themselves inside and take them out. Then just take a break by playing with your dogs by throwing them a chew toy. Or take a nice walk that will give you two good exercise. It's always good for a dog to have exercise. Please no Dog Tutorial Camp or Obedience School.

Hi Amy, I don't think that "sending your dog off to bootcamp " will work. Find a weekly dog training class that both of you attend. Not only will your dog learn everything he/ she needs, but you'll learn how to command the dog. You can find these sort of classes by going to your local pet store, vet, the newspaper, or your local community college. To get you pointed in the right direction, you can get a free dog training ebook at trainyourdogsonline.com which has lots of tips, daily advice and a free online community to ask questions.
