Dog Training

Question: Does anyone know of send away dog training in canada, b.c?

Ah, yes, it can be done. I asked about "having my dog trained " once. The trainer told me he could train any dog in 2 days, but the hard part was training the owners. If you don't know how to maintain the training, the dog will soon be untrained again. Look in the yellow pages for dog trainers, ask at pet stores, check recreation centre programs, ask your vet, ask people at the dog park.

Send away dog training is a joke because it doesn't teach your dog to listen to you nor does it teach you what you need to do to get your dogs respect. Instead of looking around for a send away trainer look for a trainer or behaviorist in your area that can work with you and your dog together.

It's a lot more effective if you train your own dog. that way you don't end up with a dog that just listens to someone else and doesn't listen to you. Couldn't you take obedience classes?
