(Posted by: 12345 on 2010-01-27 03:59:55)
Hello, I have a GSD x Border collie who likes being talt, she knows sit, lie down, paw, both paws, roll over, kiss, fetch, her name, and come, Ive had her for two weeks, and was wondering if I need to take her when she's had her jabs, and how much does it cost (I live in England Surrey) I'm going to be walking her twice a day when she's had her second jab, please no rude answers, also shall I wait one or two weeks after her jabs to walk her. |

There are classes in the UK which cost about £4 an hour. There are usually fifteen dogs in a class and your dog will love them. Just Google "obedience classes in Surrey " |

With a cross of the 2 breeds you have, training and socialisation is a must. Trainning classes are pretty cheap - work out at around £4.00 a class and are great for teaching your pup how to interact with other dogs and people. Make sure you find a good class - go along without your dog to start with and check that they only use kind methods and positive reinforcement to train: apdt.co.uk/ local_dog_trainers.asp |

It depends on what training you are doing. I attend two training classes. One is gun dog training, so this isn't likely to be your cup of tea, any how they cost £8 a session. If I were to join West Lancs Gun dog club, it would cost me £50 for 12 months. I couldn't tell you how much my other class is, I think it's a little bit more expensive though! Your yellow pages will have a list of dog training classes in your area, so take a look in there. Or you could just search online. Often your vet can recommend classes, or there are little notices put up inside pet shops. Training classes are great. They mentally stimulate your dog and also increase the bond between you and your dog. Wait at least a week, after the vaccination before taking her out. Also, you will need to build up the amount of exercise you give her. I'm presuming she's a puppy? If so, then 2 15 minute walks day are enough. Then 20 when she's 4 months etc... When she is fully grown and developed, you can give her as much exercise as she can take. Maybe also look into agility? I do it, and it's seriously addictive and fun! |
