I have a sheltie and a golden retriever that both roll over and sit pretty. To get them to roll over, have them lay first. Then, take a treat over there head, and I gave em a light push to get em going, while they are doing it, say roll over and the second that they finish the roll, give them the treat. It only took my dogs about a week to get this. To get them to sit pretty, put them in the sit. I stand behind them so they have something to balance against, then put a treat over their nose so they have to sit up to get it. When they do it, say "sit pretty " or whatever you want to call it, then immediatly give them the treat.

To teach your dog to roll over you have them sit and lay down. Hold the treat over their shoulder so they have to eventually roll their body over to get to the treat. They eventually get the point. Thats how i did it anyways.

Lures and markers are the best way to train a dog a new behavior that isn't necessarily natural for the dog to do otherwise. You can use small, training treats to guide your dog into the position you want him to assume. Be patient. You may need to break it up into steps before you can achieve the desired final product. This is called shaping. Mark the desired behavior as soon as it occurs, by either saying "yes " or using a clicker, and reward your dog with a high value treat or toy immediately after. For example, you can put your dog in a sitting position to prepare for "sit pretty " and as soon as the dog looks up and shifts his weight toward the treat(lure), mark the behavior and offer a reward. Once the dog starts doing this consistently, you can move on and wait until the dog moves toward the lure even more, getting closer to the "sit pretty " position. Yup.. To sit just bring the treat a little under them and say sit! This may take a little while...it may lean forward ,follow you or just grab the treat from your hand!! When the dog sits say "good boy!! " or whatever and let him have it... It'll eventually get it! The key is patience! To roll over It's kinda like the other answer says.. You can find millions of other ways too! Dogs are smart, sometimes they just don't wanna do what you tell them to! But don't worry, all dogs can be trained...good luck! :D
