What are some ideas on how to train a puppy to not whine and potty train?
I have a 8 weeks old puppy I am trying to potty train and teach him not to whine.
Who knows how to train a puppy to stop barking at other animals and general noises?
Does anyone know how to stop a 11month old puppy from barking at other animals on the tv or at noises in the street, she is driving me bonkers.I've tried a water bottle it doesn't work on her she just tries to get the water to drink it haha.

Oh my goshhhh I got this puppy for my son as a reward of him stopping sucking on his thumb and now I am in puppy hell he craps everywhere and when I walk him he seems to hold it just to do it in the house he got the whole thing backwards, I need helppppp he is a cutie and very sweet a mix breed between winny dog and chiwawa and we rescued him from an abusive enviroment but he is really testing me and I have no idea on how to potty train him to go outside. PLEASE SOME HELP AND ADVICE? would be grately appreciated. Thanks.We are not sure of how old is he but I can tell is no more than six months old or less his teeth are very small and he still squad to pee, big dog lift a leg.I will know when I take him to the vet but I know he is old enough to train already. How to train a puppy to eliminate at a specific place that i want ?
i just bought a 3 month year old puppy. it's been almost two weeks since i brought it back home. the problem is, i just don't know how to make it shit outside. it keeps doing it's business inside and there will be A LOT of poop and i HATE cleaning it. most other dogs don't shit inside, so the masters dont have to clean their poop like i have to. their dogs shit outside automatically when they smell the grass. i tried bringing my dog out after it ate last night, but it did not eliminate. so, i stood at the grass for almost 20 minutes and it finally urinated. i got fed up, and brought it inside and after 5 minutes, it shit ed inside. and this morning after feeding it, i brought it outside to shit, but it didn't do anything. it is so frustating and depressing and dissapointing to have to clean it's shit and not being able to make it eliminate outside. how to make it eliminate outside like all the other dogs? please please helploveeee.
How to train a puppy to get along with cats?
I have an 8 month old puppy. I rescued him last week. I have outside cats that I've been trying to socialize him with. It would help me out better if the cats weren't so scared of big dogs but they are so they run off as soon as I start walking him around the yard on a leash . Here's what he does when he sees one of the cats He will either perk his ears up and stand there and look at them OR He will sit down beside meBut sometimes when they run off he will jump in their direction. He doesn't growl or bark or snap at all. Is this a good sign? What can I do to get him properly socialized with cats? I thought about getting a muzzle as much as I hate to do that so that I can get him close enough to them without worrying about him snapping at them out of fear or confusion. Basically what can I do to properly socialize him with them so that I can trust him enough to leave him with them unsupervised. Right now he is an outside dog until he is socialized enough with cats to be brought inside and live with my inside cats. I have 3 small dogs and they get along perfectly with the cats. Only one of them was raised around them since puppyhood. But with him being a big dog I'm being more cautious.BTW, he is 8 months old american pit bull terrier puppy but he already weighs about 45 lbs which is underweight for him. He should be around mid 50s to 60 lbs at least. But he is already the size of a gull grown large dog.

Sissy is sweet but when she wants to play she bites and as she is only 8 weeks old it HURTS How do I stop her from biting as she tries to bite my son..... and teach her to sit, shake, lay, and stay.... but most importantly how to play without biting, like fetch and tug of war. And house breaking, any techniques for high strung dogs that are worth trying. I have had dogs before that just wouldn't learn, even with consistency and stern no's and there is not any professional help here in my area. I live in a town of 175 people. I want to make sure she is a great dog as I would like to keep her for many years to come.Thank you for your answers and help. It is really appreciated, as I have tried many suggestions from friends and family and none worked.
How to train a puppy to stop barking when I leave?
I've read all about it, most people say its a phase, but can someone tell me how long does this last? I have a pup who is 3 months old I know, he is way to young to be left alone, but I wanted to start getting him accustumed to people leaving . He is crate trained. He walks into his crate when its time for him to go to sleep and falls asleep even with the crate open. When in the crate in the car he never barks or whines, he just settles down and goes to sleep. When we leave the car or come back, he doesn't make a sound, maybe opens his eyes to check whats going on, but then goes right back to sleep. The only time he makes a noise in the crate is when he needs to go to the bathroom in the morning which could be a bad habbit ? Today I put him in the bathroom with all his toys and crate, left some music on but didn't put him in the crate. He barked so much, i decided to put him in his crate, hoping he'd be better. he still whined.how can i break his barking? do i just wait it ouIt breaks my heart to hear him cry and I live in an apartment building w only one tennent so far, so its not bad. How soon do you think this phase will pass?

We have a 9 month old basset hound who was rescued from puppy mill. He does not have many negative side effects from his rough start, but will not take treats or cheese, peanut butter. He will eat his food. So, good for not becoming overweight. But, we don't have any incentive to train him beyond positive reinforcement. Potty training isn't going well.

I have a Yorkie who is a very good dog. When we go on walks he will usually stay right next to us with or without a leash which I really like. Unfortunately as soon as he sees people or another dog he has to run up and say hi to them. What would be the best way to train him to not go running off to see people without me going with him. Also if I do happen to be holding onto the leash he pulls really hard trying to go see who ever we're walking past.

Hello everyone,I'm 15 and I would like to buy a puppy. I live in an apartment with curtains, carpets, wooden antiques, etc. I am trying to convince my parents to buy a Maltese. Our biggest concerns are 1 Doing it's " things" in the carpets, beds, blankets, etc. 2 Playing with things like the curtains, wooden objects, etc. Basically we would like to know how to train the little puppy if possible.
