If he bites you again, take his entire muzzle in your hand (use both hand if his muzzle is too big). Apply light pressure (do not do this too hard). He will struggle to get away, but don't let him go for several seconds. At the same time tell him a firm and loud 'NO!' Release him after a few seconds. The first couple of times that you try this, he will most likely come back at you and try to bite you again. Repeat the same thing. This is highly uncomfortable for him and he should very quickly learn that if he bites there are consequences. You can also grab his bottom jaw between your thumb and forefinger. Hold on and press your thumb down on his tongue. Again tell him firmly and loudly 'NO!' He can not bite you when you do this. He will again struggle, but don't let go for a few seconds and keep a slight pressure on his tongue. Keep repeating it if needed. It should not take too long to make him stop biting Good luck

That's just puppy play but you need to stop it now or he will get worse with the mouthing. when he starts to jump and bit at you you need to stop, turn your back on him and tell him no then make him sit and settle. you should have a toy handy to give him to bite on and play with instead of your body. he will learn if you continue to stop playing with him when he jumps and mouths you.

When the puppy bites when you are playing or petting him, stop doing either immediately. Otherwise he may feel he's being rewarded for this behavior. With puppies odds are he's just getting excited, and puppies tend to nip each other in play. When he nips, say NO firmly, but don't scream at him and never try to correct him physically, although you sound like a nice person that wouldn't do that. Reward the puppy's good behavior when you play and avoid games like tug-of-war or wrestling with him if he's starting to nip as this may just encourage the behavior.

First of all, anytime his teeth touch you, you yelp loudly in a high pitch then ignore him. This is what his litter mates would have done to teach him not to bite them and that's how he sees you. Then you totally ignore him for jumping on you. This behavior should not be allowed. We just took our 10 month old english bulldog through obedience training and these are a few things he learned that have really helped with his behavior.

If it does not hurt probably nothing to worry about depending on the breed. My jack russell terrier female bites at my wrists every time she is really excited but it does not hurt at all its a showing of affection and she has been doing this for 3 years. Now it actually makes me feel good knowing she does this because she loves me.

When your running and he does that, stop suddenly and turn away from him with your arms folded and ignore him. When he's calm you can praise him. And when your petting his head and he bites you do the same thing. Also try to make sure your not petting him where he can't see you, it could just be that you startled him. Just remember to only praise the behaviors you want and to ignore the ones you don't until you get the ones you want.
