Potty Training Dog
Potty training dog information
Help potty training dog!!?
Ok, So I managed to house train my girl friends little chihuahua mix by smacking her with newspaper and rubbing her nose in her pee and poo, after wards I read online that if you try to pet the dog and he she closes her eyes and turns away, its evidence of hitting and thus I didn't potty train her right. Now I have a cocker spaniel puppy 3 months of my own that I am trying to train and I don't want to hit him at all for fear he will turn out like the chihuahua. I take him out for a long walk then sit by the grass by by elevator complex for almost 20 minutes with him He doesn't do anything, he usually runs to the elevator and waits to go up to my apt. But then, within 5 minutes of getting inside he pees on my floor It's so frustrating and today I hit him in the side with an empty paper towel roll and now he is sad and hiding under my desk. I feel really bad but when I catch him normally and just say " NO" in a firm voice as suggested in a website, he doesn't seem to get the hint. I really need help I can't stand hitting my dog or cleaning up after he pees ADVICe Thanks
Difficulties in potty training dog?
I have a 3 year old miniature pincher, and recently I've been having alot of issues getting my dog to relieve himself where hes suppose to.He's beginning to pee inside the house, including his sleeping quarters? ? Is this a behavioral issue? Also how do i eliminate odor from the places he has soiled places you dont want him to pee? I've heard that using tobasco sauce or vinegar or something of a similar smell works well in preventing such. I've also heard that mixing apple cider vinegar in their drinking water balances their pH and will eliminate that all too familiar odor of dog pee. is that true? and by eliminating that odor, will that prevent them from returning to that spot to pee ? Any tips, suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks guys

My adult potty-trained dog keeps peeing in the house?
My miniature male poodle has latly been peeing in the house. he is fully potty trained and he goes out regularly. He is 13 years old but it's not like he's having accidents he is actually lifting his leg to pee on things. I know this because my mom just found him doing this today and other days. Is there any way to prevent this? Yes he is crate trained as well and he is in there when we are gone so we know he does this while we are home. Thank you
Potty training dogs question?
So, school is gonna start and im getting a dog. I heard that if you do crate training you have to take dogs out every 20 min when their puppies, but then I can't do that since I'm going to school for 7 hours each morning. Any tips? should i switch to paper training instead which will have bad effects in the long run?

Why is my potty trained dog starting to pee on my bed?
I moved in with my mom and she rescued a little jack russell last month. My dog and hers have been getting along great, but the past week my dog has pissed my bed for the fourth time. How can I make her stop this behavior? Where is it coming from?
Potty trained dog "acting out".?
I have two dogs. Bear is 2 and Koda is just one. Bear and Koda, both, are great about going to the door while we are home to show they want to go outside. My husband and I work at least 8 hours a day and both Bear and Koda have NEVER had issues going potty inside the house. If they have to go, even after we take them outside before we leave, we have potty pads in the basement that they go on and we clean up as soon as we get home. Like I said, they are both great about going on the pads if they have to go while we are gone. I do not leave food and water down during the day. They have had a pretty good set schedule on when they go, almost down to the minute Recently, Bear the older one has been pooping on the living room carpet, and peeing on the kitchen tile. I have no clue why. It's not even every day. Just randomly for the past 2 weeks maybe. Any suggestions to why he may be doing that? We know it's Bear because of the size and amount of pee. He is larger than Koda, and so is his waste haha. When we get home, he even ducks his head like he thinks he is going to be in trouble. We clean with ordor eliminating product so he won't smell the spots again..he just goes in different places. ONE time while we were home, he went chasing a ball, disappeared for a while and we found poop in our closet that night...the rest of his accidents happen while we are away. We are expecting our first baby and so there is a lot of change going on in our house right now. Would that have anything to do with it? Bear has been our baby forever, spoiled rotten dogs We love them like our children...Any suggestions as to why he would be suddenly doing this would be greatly appriciated Thanks DJL uh ok. I don't dehydrate my dogs. My husband is home for lunch daily, in which they eat and drink, and go potty before he goes back to work. This was actually a suggestion from a vet..I have been to numerous vets and none have said it's a bad idea, and infact is good for dogs to be on a feeding schedule, like humans. When I said that they are on a schedule almost down to the minute, I mean, come 7 o clock and they go to the door, we know it's poop time not just a pee. We play with our dogs TONS, as well as walk them. Im pretty offended that you act like Im a horrible owner and act like I will be a horrible mother. I did not include all details in the post no. that would take forever. relax and stop assuming everything. No Im not perfect, but neither are you. These dogs are my babies and we love them to death, & treat them very very well
My potty trained dog has been having accidents.?
My dog is almost three and has been potty trained. Yesterday he peed all over the house. Twice in the hallway, twice in my room, and once in the kitchen. He isn't lifting his leg to pee either. The other day he sat on the couch and peed. What's wrong with my dog?The vet is expensive so I don't want to go unless it's absolutely necessary. My dog is almost three and has been potty trained. Potty trained dog is all of a sudden peeing and pooping in the house?
He's been peeing outside for like 3 years. Why would a potty trained dog all of a sudden start doing this?
Fully potty trained dog now poops in my house?
My female multipoo is three years old I have had her since she was 8 weeks. She is very smart but was the hardest dog to potty train I have had several dogs over the years and none have given me the same potty training issues she did . It took about a year to get her fully trained, and have only had a few random accidents in the past two years. Starting about two weeks ago, she started pooping in the house, not just every once in a while either, most days its twice a day, in different spots. I have tried looking at what might have changed in the past two weeks schedule, food, stress etc and the only thing I could think of was I put a temporary fence up where my other 2 dogs were ruining an area of the grass. I have done this several times before and it never bothered her because she doesn't use that part of the yard to go potty. Either way I took the fence down wondering if that could have had something to do with it and it has not seemed to help. When she does go out side I praise her and have gone back to giving her treats like when she was first potty trained. When I catch her pooping in the house I say a firm no, and put her out side. What is wrong with her, could she be sick? Upset? What should I do??
Potty trained dog peeing in kennel?
My friends healthy female dog...around a year in age peed in her kennel which she has never done before. At first I thought maybe a thunderstorm had scared the pee right out of her but come to find out we didn't have one today. Also there is quite a lot of pee. Her entire underside is covered. Should we be concerned? Any ideas?
