What is the best ‘Call Back’ to use for training a dog?
I ve been reading some dog training books and got two different training commands for calling your dog. One said to use such verbiage as, dog s name where are you? And the other says to call out Come . Both explain about voice tone and using reward markers, etc. once the dog arrives at your feet. I thought using something simple like, Fido, come would be more like it.I m looking at getting a Toy Manchester Terrier and they were bred to hunt rats and other small vermin so they have that go after them instinct so I m looking for the best verbal command to use for call back if and when off leash.sigh.....My question isn't about if a TMT is not the right dog for me.

How to train a dog not to potty at night.?
We adopted a 3 year old dog 1 week ago. He seemed house broken until we woke up one morning to find that he pooped and peed upstairs. Days before that incident he had scratched at the door to be let out. So we thought he was trained. The night he had the accident he slept on the couch in the living room. He did pee about 10pm that night. And then the accident. Is it because we didn't hear him if he was signaling that he needed to go out? Do we change his feeding times? Help The dog is 17 pounds. What size crate should I use? Also, I'd like to be able to let him sleep outside the crate if he masters the crate training. Is that possible
How to train a dog not to bite if someone takes its toy?

Training a dog to go off the lead?
We recently got a 7 year old rescue dog, he was mistreated and has learnt his name,. We let him off the lead in the forest and he came back first time, second time took some coaxing but eventually he came back, We are worried that if he is distracted by another dog, or even a car, he wont come back, what is the key to training him or is it too late? Also, when he walks on the lead, if he sees a tractor or large lorry he goes mental and wants to chase it. Will this boy be better to stay on the lead permanantly, we have a huge garden so he does get a good run in it.

Training a dog to ignore others?
So basically my cousins Lab is very dog aggressive. My guess is it's complete fear aggression. She cannot be trusted on walks off lead obviously in case she either attacks or runs away the running away part is what makes me think it's fear aggression but i'm no expert so if you disagree please say The aggression has came from bad breeding, i know that, the dog came from a puppy mill BYB and, imo, i don't think that she will ever be social with dogs..ever.I have offered to help train her but i was wondering if it was at all possible to train the dog to completely ignore other dogs, no playing, no barking, no growling just completely walk past other dogs and if so how to approach the training? I've told them that if this training is at all possible that they will have to be fully committed and they have said that they are and want to start training immediately. So can anyone enlighten me here?

How to train a dog to NOT chew on everything?
We have a Jack Russell about 7 months old. She has a bad habit of chewing everything the carpet, blankets, food water dishes for some reason she even chews on the bottom of bedroom doors. I've never owned a house dog before so I'm unsure as of how to train her to not chew on things. We have given her her own chew toys and bones. If anyone could offer any advice it would be greatly appreciated.
